By will Lucien De Gheus left his possessions to the foundation Private Stichting Lucien De Gheus – Druant, in order to open up his artistic legacy to the public. After his death in 2013, the foundation took on this task. Its mission consists in the restoration of the estate, archiving the artistic work and showing it to the public.
